How this tool handles your data

This page covers only what is particular to the AI visibility checker. Everything else — your rights, how long we keep things, who we share with, and how to reach us — is in the Privacy Policy, which this page does not replace.

What it collects

From the form	Your name, company and email address. A phone number if you give one — it is optional and the tool works without it.
From the tool	The question you typed, and the brand name or website you asked us to look for.
Automatically	A one-way scrambled form of your IP address, used only to count how many checks come from one connection so the tool cannot be run up a bill by a script. The address itself is not stored.

What is sent to the AI services

Only your question. It goes to OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and Perplexity, together with one instruction telling them to search the web and answer normally.

Your name, company, email and phone number are never sent to any of them. Neither is the brand you asked us to look for — the assistants are not told that anyone is being scored, because telling them would change the answer and there would be nothing worth measuring.

Each answer that comes back is then sent to Anthropic once more, to pull the list of options out of it. Those services handle what they receive under their own terms, and they may retain it for their own abuse monitoring.

Because your question is sent off to four companies, please do not type anything confidential or anything that identifies a person into it. It is meant to be the kind of question one of your customers would ask.

Where your details go

• Stored on our hosting (Netlify) and written to a Google Sheet we control.
• Used to email you the results of the check you ran.
• Copied to the Lockhern Digital team so we can follow up with you about what you saw, which is what you asked us to do when you submitted the form.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Cookies and tracking

There is no analytics on this tool. No tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and nothing is loaded from another company when the page opens.

• One cookie, ldv. It is set only once you submit the form, lasts 180 days, and holds nothing but a random identifier. Its single job is to remember that you already gave us your details so the form does not ask you again on your next search. It cannot be read by scripts on the page and it does not follow you to other websites.
• Cloudflare Turnstile. A bot check that keeps the tool from being run up a bill automatically. It is fetched from Cloudflare only once you start typing in the form — not when the page loads — so somebody who reads this page and leaves sends nothing to them.

Changing your mind

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@lockherndigital.com and we will act on it. If you only want the emails to stop, say so and we will stop — or use the unsubscribe link on any email we send you.
